KNCCI Murang’a Chapter, led by Dr. Naomi Kagone as the Chairperson hosted the CEO Business Program in Murang’a Town under the theme “Creating Business Legacy and Sustainability.” Chamber President Dr. Erick Rutto was Chief Guest, joined by Pakistan High Commissioner H.E. Adeela Younis, company secretary Kihara Njuguna, national directors, and chairs from Kirinyaga, Tana River, Nyeri, Embu, Turkana, Samburu, Nandi, and Nyandarua.
The event also hosted partners such as Poise BDC, Picktime Consulting, KEBS, KRA, ICPAK, ABSA as well as Muranya Young Professionals, Muranga Avocado Farmers Cooperative Union and The Bongo Tours Company.

Muranga businesses raised concerns on, pending bills, multiple licenses, over-taxation, harassment among others. It was agreed that there is need for the business community to consolidate their voice so that they can lobby as a united front.
Dr. Rutto assured members that KNCCI had been pushing for the clearance of Kshs.150B pending bills, a unified permit, easier access to finance, credit guarantees among others.
H.E. Younis encouraged those present at the event to look at engaging in partnerships with Pakistan, citing strong trade ties which had access to opportunities for innovators and manufacturers.
